Make Valuable Connections

Make Valuable Connections

The Public Lands Alliance Convention and Trade Show brings together more than 500 representatives from public land nonprofits, land management agencies and businesses. These professionals range from having 30+ years in the industry to just starting out - and they benefit from making connections at our event.

Here are a few ways our attendees and exhibitors make connections throughout the week:

  • Education sessions, partnership forums and round-tables encourage participants to learn information relevant to their fields and to meet others in similar professional roles.

  • Special events such as the Opening Reception, Public Lands Partnership Mixer, the Awards Ceremony and the Field Trips are perfect opportunities for networking.

  • The Trade Show offers two day's worth of opportunities to connect with vendors and suppliers who offer solutions and products for nonprofits and agency partners.

  • The Newcomers Orientation at the start of the week helps first-time attendees meet one another and learn what to expect from their first convention and trade show.

  • Beverage breaks after the morning General Sessions and lunch hours each day provide opportunities to introduce yourself to new friends and colleagues.

Throughout the week, the Public Lands Alliance implements a variety of fun ways for you to connect with others. Be sure to join us in Palm Springs!

2017 was my first PLA convention and it definitely delivered! I appreciated getting to meet and network with peers in the public lands community, as well as hear from leaders and successful ventures.

The PLA Convention is a great gathering space for leaders to come together to share common missions and values.

The opportunity to connect with, and learn from, other park partners is hugely beneficial to our small organization. I look forward to the opportunity to attend with our board and agency partners in the future.
