What's covered in the Partnership Academy?
Developing a Partnership Culture
In this session, we will bridge cultures and learn how the "other half" operates to better understand best practices and policies among nonprofits and agencies.
Nonprofit Governance
We will take an in-depth look at nonprofit best practices for governance so agency participants better understand the important role a nonprofit Board plays in strategic direction and planning.
Financial Management and Sustainability
Financial literacy is critical for partners to develop a shared vision and a better understanding of funding and budget cycles will help them facilitate and support each other's work.
Building and Rebuilding Relationships
Successful partnerships deliberately and proactively build relationships in order to accomplish their goals. In this session, we'll discuss clear strategy and engagement techniques to help you and your partner advance your work and better connect with your community. Sometimes, however, things go awry which necessitates a need for conflict management. We’ll cover how to rebuild your partnership in the event there’s still work to be done.
Putting it All Together
Through scenarios and group work, we will put our acquired knowledge to action and discuss creative solutions to build and strengthen partnerships.
